An Antique H Samuel Silver Pocket Watch, 1891

Description

An antique H Samuel silver pocket watch.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed H Samuel, Manchester and it is protected by an inner fitted cover. A winding key is included.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1891 with a maker’s mark for H Samuel. The case is in good condition with just the odd small indentation but overall very acceptable for a Victorian piece.

The watch glass is in very good order.

The white enamel dial is signed H Samuel, Market St, Manchester. There is one short hairline crack immediately beneath the subsidiary seconds dial but other than that, the dial is in beautiful condition.
