The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and the serial number dates it back to 1944.
The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs... this watch would suit a man with a slimmer wrist.
The movement would have been imported from Longines in Switzerland to be cased and subsequently retailed in Australia. The case is in good condition with just one small indentation to the back.

The lens is in good condition.
The white enamel dial is also signed with the Longines name. There are a couple of short hairline cracks but not too noticeable to the naked eye. The Breguet style hands are a handsome feature.
