Gents 9ct Gold Art Deco Tissot Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A charming 1930s Art Deco 9 carat gold Tissot gents wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed twice with the Tissot name and it has the serial number 468531 which dates it back to 1931/32.

The watch measures 23mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark) for 1932. The case is in lovely condition for such an early piece with just light surface scratches to the back.

The convex lens is also in very nice condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish. There is a light marking but all very acceptable.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
