The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co, U.S.A with the Elgin name and it has the serial number 13855029 which dates it back to 1908.
The watch measures 54.
The gold filled case was made by the American watch case company and is the Fortune model. It is a good solid case with a screw-on bezel and case back. The case is in nice condition with only the odd light mark from use.

The glass lens is in good condition.
The dial is enamel and it is signed Elgin. The dial has a small nibble under the bezel although not noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
