Description

This is a very attractive and decorative French boulle clock with ormolu mounts and red tortoiseshell case beautifully and profusely inlaid with brasswork. The clock is in good working order. The twin barrel movement runs for 8 days and strikes a lovely tone on a bell on the hour and half hour. The case is surmounted with a gilt metal cherub to the top and the quality of the piece is evident in the beautiful detail to the interior of the cabinet as well as the outside. This has its original decorative ormolu sunburst pendulum and the case is in excellent condition with a gorgeous colour to to rich red tortoiseshell.

The clock is substantial in size measuring 40 cm high by 19 cm wide and 13 cm deep.
