Ww2 Era Tissot Pocket Watch, 1945

1920 - 1940
Description

A WW2 era Tissot pocket watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 43, which has been tested and is working nicely. The movement is signed Tissot, Swiss and it has the serial number 1,643,725 which dates it back to 1945. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is argentan which is an alloy of nickel with copper and zinc. The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark. The inside of the case back has the Tissot name.

The lens is in good condition.

The white dial is in beautiful condition and the outer minute track with red 24 hour numbers is a nice feature. The Breguet style hands and slightly larger than normal subsidiary seconds dial gives the watch a very handsome appearance.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
