14ct gold Arcadia trench style watch, by Fleurier Watch Company.

The Arcadia name was registered by the Fleurier Watch Company in 1915. Fleurier traded for over a century supplying movements to many watch companies.

The watch has a Swiss made hand-winding movement, with ten jewels, which is working nicely and keeping good time to within around three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the articulated lugs. The case is 14ct gold and the inside of the hinged case back has the 14k mark together with the Swiss poinçons de maître (punch of the master or maker‘s mark) which was numbered according to who made the case, in this instance 114. It seems the manufacturer went out of business prior to 1934 (when the numerical identification list was published) so it is very difficult to identify him. The case has some gentle unevenness in places but overall is in very reasonable condition for its age.

The lens is in good order.

The dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.
