An impressive French mantel clock, made in the Louis XIVth style, dating to the mid 19th Century. It has an ormolu mounted figure to the top , glass sides and brass and tortoiseshell marquetry panels with enamel highlights. The front glazed door is embossed with a cupid, behind is the brass dial with enamel numerals and it is embossed with the makers name Bon a Paris. It has an 8 day pendulum movement that strikes the Hours and halves on a bell..

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition, the brass has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.There is small repaired area to the numeral IX. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
