The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark), 1924, with a sponsor’s (or importer’s) mark for Sylvain Dreyfuss.
Lenroc was a trade name registered by the Dreyfuss family, who also went on to import Rotary watches into Britain, becoming Rotary’s most successful market. Rotary is still owned by the Dreyfuss family.
The condition of the case is good for such an early piece with just an indentation to the hinged back.
The watch glass has minor marking.
The white enamel dial is in good condition and the Breguet style hands are an attractive feature.
A black leather strap has been fitted.
