The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 110, which has been tested and is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and the front is in good condition. The hinged case back has some unevenness and marking.
The white enamel dial has a short faint hairline crack between 7 and 8 but it is quite difficult to see with the naked eye. There is an outer minute track and also a subsidiary seconds dial which makes this a miniature pocket watch rather than a fob watch. It could possibly have been designed as a boy’s pocket watch.

The watch comes with a rose gold plated albert of correct proportions for the watch although slightly pinker in tone than the case. The albert measures 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
