The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, model 1899, which is working nicely. The signed movement has the serial number 12387537 which dates it back to 1903. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model by Aaron Dennison. It is in good condition with just light surface marks. The small lens is surrounded by Roman numerals with a blue enamel filling. The winding crown pushes down to open the front cover.

The inner lens is also in good condition. The signed white enamel dial is in lovely condition and it has the special half hunter hour hand so that when the front cover is closed, the wearer can decipher which hand is the minute hand and which is the hour hand.
