An Antique Elgin Full Hunter Pocket Watch, 1912

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Elgin full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a grade 292 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The signed movement has the serial number 16873518 which dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The rolled gold case was originally guaranteed to wear for 10 years. There is one small indentation to the back of the case but other than that it is in good condition with just some surface marks from use.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. The plastic lens is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
