The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch is not an original piece, it has been assembled from various other watches to make this handsome looking piece; it appears that the work was undertaken some years ago and it has been nicely carried out.

The movement is a good quality 21-jewel hand-winding movement by the Octo Watch Company. It is working nicely.
The watch itself measures 38mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs.
Originally the case would have had a single button chronograph in it and there is a filled in hole just below the winding crown where the chrono button would have sat.

Unusually the watch lens is actually glass and it is in super condition.
The dial is signed Rodania. It dates back to the late 1940s and sits very nicely in the case and looks really good.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
