1920s Waltham Traveler Full Hunter Pocket Watch

Description

A 1920s Waltham Traveler full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, USA and it has the serial number 26,230,542 which dates it back to 1927. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model by the England based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has the odd small indentation or mark but overall is very acceptable for a 1920s piece.

The front cover is opened by simultaneously pressing the winding crown and gently using a fingernail to flick the cover open. The plastic lens is in good condition.

The watch has a white enamel dial. The main face of it is in very good condition but there are a couple of nibbles to the edge, mostly covered by the bezel.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
