A Gents 1950s Nevi Wristwatch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Nevi wrist watch.

The watch has a Felsa 1560 automatic movement with 25 jewels which is working well… you can sometimes hear the rotor moving around as it powers up the movement. The movement is signed Nevy.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. As with many gents watches from the 40s and 50s, it is on the small side compared to today’s pieces so it would suit a slimmer wrist. The case is gold plated and it is in good condition. The screw-on case back is stainless steel… it states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, this should not still be relied upon.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has a full sunburst pattern which is very 1950s and looks very stylish. Original dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds hand with a red pointer end and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
