The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The movement is numbered 1552 and it is protected by a fitted inner dust cover.

The watch measures 46.4 mm diameter excluding the stem. It is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Chester 1883, with a maker's mark W.J ( William Jee ). The case has mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch glass has has faint surface marking to the outer edge from use although very acceptable.
The dial has faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
