Unusual Chinoiserie Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A small, George V period Chinoiserie bracket clock produced in the early 20th Century, but made in the Late 17th Century style.

It has a caddy top with a brass carrying handle, , a square brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, and a bevel edge rear glass. The case is decorated with raised lacquer work. It has an 8 day lever platform movement made by Astral and is numbered 15433. c. 1920-30

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition, with signs of wear that are commensurate with age. The movement has been full serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.

17.50cm wide 28.00cm high 11.00cm deep (6.89 inches wide 11.02 inches high 4.33 inches deep)
