1930s Gents Silver Trench Watch, J W Benson

1920 - 1940
Description

A Swiss silver trench watch originally retailed by J W Benson.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow 1933 with an importer’s mark for J W Benson. The case is in good condition with just minor marking.

The lens is in good condition.

The enamel dial is in very nice condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
