Ww1 Era Swiss Gents Trench Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

WW1 era Swiss trench watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to around one to two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is nickel and the screw-on case back and bezel are nice signs of quality. The case is in good condition with just some surface marks to the back.

The glass lens has a 5mm scratch and other very minor marks but overall is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The two tone dial has a charming look and it is in good condition.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
