A Vintage 1920s Swiss Stem Winding Pocket Watch

Description

A vintage 1920s Swiss stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is stamped 15 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch measures 50.6 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The gold plated case is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The condition of the case is good with just minor marking from use.

The watch lens is glass and has a small nibble under the lens at 2 o'clock although hardly noticeable to the naked eye but overall it is in nice condition.

The dial has a faint hairline crack between the centre and 12 o'clock although it can only be seen with a jewellers loupe but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

Price includes worldwide postage.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
