The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a sunburst pattern to the inside, an extra expense for something that would not often be seen.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is gold plated and is unusually but beautifully detailed to both the front and the back. There is a cartouche to the front with the initials DM.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover.
The signed enamel dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a two or three hairline cracks together with some small chips to the edge of the dial but these are mostly covered by the bezel. The plastic lens is in good condition. The watch is wound by pushing the winding crown in and winding at the same time.
