1920s Tacy Admiral Full Hunter Pocket Watch

Description

1920s Tacy Admiral full hunter pocket watch (The Tacy Watch Company was a collaboration between Cyma And Tavannes watch companies).

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped Admiral, 17 jewels adjusted, Swiss made and the calibre number 998.

The watch measures 50.7 mm diameter excluding the winding stem, crown and loop. The full hunter case was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has light surface marks from use and the odd small indentation but overall it is very acceptable for a piece which dates back to around the 1920s.

The plastic lens is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The enamel dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

Price includes worldwide postage.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
