18th Cent Mahogany Moondial Longcase Clock

Description

A very impressive basically late 18th Cent mahogany longcase clock. The case is in nicely figured mahogany and it has a decorative brass dial with moon indicator.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has subsidiary seconds and date dials and a moon phase indicator to the arch.

The case is in good un-restored condition and a nice colour. It has a fine shrinkage crack to the base panel and trunk door but overall looks very smart. The movement has been serviced and is keeping good time.

Maximum dimensions are:

240cm (94.5") high (excluding finial + 8cm)

57cm (22.5") wide

25cm (10") deep
