Gents 1930 Art Deco Silver Gilt Simba Wrist Watch

Description

Gents 1930 Art Deco silver gilt Simba wrist watch.

The watch has a good quality Swiss hand-winding movement which is working well and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver gilt and there are hallmarks on the back of the watch for Glasgow 1930 together with the importer’s or sponsor’s mark A5M. The case is in good condition with just a little unevenness to the back.

The convexed lens is in good condition.

The dial has a really good Art Deco look with stylised numbers and rectangular subsidiary seconds dial and minute track. Breguet style hands.

A later brown leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
