Description

A nicely proportioned, slim, country longcase clock with a moon roller within the arch. The solid oak case has a swan neck top hood, turned side columns and a long door all crossbanded with mahogany. The painted enamel dial has simple raised spandrels and within the arch is a moon dial that indicates the phases of the moon over a 29.5 days cycle. It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a bell. The dial is signed by the maker John Osbourne of Colchester, who is listed as a maker in the late 18th Century.

Current Condition

The case has been re-polished, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
