Antique Waltham Pocket Watch, Schierwater & Lloyd

Description

An antique Waltham Traveler pocket watch originally retailed by Schierwater & Lloyd, Liverpool

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed American Waltham USA and it has the serial number 15,969,864 which dates it back to 1907. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition with just light surface marks.

The watch glass is in good condition too.

The white enamel dial is signed with the name Schierwater & Lloyd, Liverpool, one of the UK’s largest retail agents for Waltham watches. The dial looks good to the naked eye … if viewed through a magnifying loupe, a very faint hairline crack is just about visible.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
