A Gents 9 Carat Gold Vertex Revue Wrist Watch 1956

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 9 carat gold Vertex Revue wrist watch.

The watch has a signed calibre 77 hand-winding movement, with 16 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs ... it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or could be worn by a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1956 together with the maker’s mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has light surface marks but overall is very acceptable for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition too and has its original gold coloured feuille shaped hands, centre seconds hand and outer minute markers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
