Gents 1920s silver cushion cased wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding, with 15 jewels, three adjustments, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is not signed but would appear to be Helvetia.

The watch measures 31mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1924 with an importer’s mark for Arthur Rendell on behalf of Robert Pringle & Sons. In its day, Pringles was of one of the UK's largest wholesalers of jewellery, silverware, clocks and watches. The case is in good condition for a 1920s piece with just one small indentation to the back.

The lens has a couple of marks but is acceptable.

The watch has an enamel dial with a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are some faint hairline cracks around number 3 and beneath the subsidiary seconds dial but not too obvious to the naked eye.

A new dark brown leather strap has been fitted.
