Antique Waltham Traveler full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with seven jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed with the Waltham Traveler name and it also has the serial number 15,805,959 which dates it back to around 1907. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a 1911 presentation engraving from Cleveland Flour Mills.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. Waltham movements were imported into the UK for casing and subsequent retail. There are a couple of small indentations to the case but overall the condition is good for such an early piece.

The winding crown pushes down to release the front cover. The plastic lens is in good condition. The white enamel dial is signed with the name of the original retailers, Collingwood & Son of Stockton on Tees. There is a a hairline crack, 1cm long, running through the centre but not too detrimental. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
