A Gents 1940s Lanco 9 Carat Gold Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1940s Lanco 9 carat gold wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is keeping good time to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed with the Lanco name.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs so it is a decent size for a vintage watch. The case is 9 carat rose gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1946 and subsequently Dublin 1947. The case has light surface marks and a few little indentations to the back. The back also has the initials WF.

The lens in good condition.

The signed dial is in good condition with just light marking. Feuille shaped hands, centre seconds hand and outer minute markers.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
