The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.

The watch measures 20.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 33mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs … it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark) 1929. The back of the watch has a presentation engraving which relates to RMS (Royal Mail Steamship) Aronda. The case is in good condition.

The lens has light marks but is very acceptable.
The dial is signed Mappin, Swiss Made. It has an interesting appearance with a subtly textured section to the centre, Breguet style hands and a subsidiary seconds dial … all with Art Deco influence.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
