The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The movement is signed Universal Time Keeper.

The watch is smaller than standard at 42mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The gilded case has an Art Nouveau inspired design on both the front and back. The crown is pushed down to release the front cover.

The watch has a plastic lens which is in good condition.
The signed white dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The hands are lever set which means that to initially set the time, a small lever underneath the number 5 is pulled out, the crown is turned to move the hands clockwise, and then the lever is pushed back in.
The watch comes with a pretty albertina.
