Gents 9ct Gold Rone Fifteen Wrist Watch, 1952

Description

Gents 9ct gold Rone Fifteen wrist watch, 1952.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 1200, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes or so over 24 hours. The movement is signed with the Rone name.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1952 with a maker’s mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front of the case is in good condition. There are little marks to the back of the watch, probably from where an earlier thread through strap has been.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish and there is some marking.

A new dark reddish brown strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
