Omega 1953 Raf Pilots or Navigators Watch Issue No 1552

1940 - 1960
Description

For sale is this very fine Omega 1953 version RAF issued pilots or navigators watch no 1552. The 1953 version was only produced during that year with approx 5900 pieces in total being made. The 1953 is a much larger watch at approx 38mm in diameter excluding the crown and sits very well on the wrist even today. The one on offer is in fine condition retaining its original unrestored dial which retains almost all its original and still active luminous paint. The original hand set retains the original paint to the center seconds hand but the infill on the hour and minute hands has been replaced some time past. The full stainless steel case is in fine order and fully signed within the screw down case back, and retains its original winding crown. The very fine Omega movement is in full working order and keeping accurate time. This is the fat arrow version commissioned early on in 53 with the issue no of 1552.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
