A huge example of a Victorian black slate mantel clock. The clock is lovely quality with a large white enamel dial with beveled glass. The clock is of large but elegant design with gilded engraving and malachite inlay. The movement is a good quality French movement by HP&Co, eight day going with a strike on a bell. The whole is in fully working order. The clock has the odd slight knock and a slight greying to the slate in small areas, but both are only visible on very close inspection, the whole clock has the appearance of having been in a country house all its life.
