Description

Vintage 1923 silver Waltham stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is within 2 - 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is signed A.W.W. Co, Waltham, U.S.A and the serial number 24008433 which dates the movement to 1921.

The watch measures 50.7 mm diameter excluding the stem and crown. The silver case was made by the Dennison Watch Case Co and has Birmingham hallmarks for 1923. The silver case is in nice condition with only light surface marks from use. The case back has the odd mild bruise from use.

The plastic watch lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Waltham, U.S.A and has a faint hairline crack between the sub second dial and 6 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has blued steel hands.
