The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The movement is protected by an inner cover upon which is engraved the name R Salsbury & Sons, 56 High Street, Guildford - R Salsbury was a jeweller who is still in existence today.
The watch measures 37mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside both of the case backs. The back of the watch has an image of a bird with blue enamel detail, with a tree branch above. The case is in good condition.
The watch glass has minor marks but is very acceptable.
The white dial is in lovely condition with dainty numbers and an outer minute track. The hands are initially set by way of the pin set mechanism.
The watch comes with a white metal albertina, 20cm long.
