A Vintage 1920s State Stem Winding Pocket Watch

Description

A vintage 1920s State stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped State, Swiss made and US pat 24 May 1904.

The watch measures 50.4 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is stamped Star, Dennison Watch Case Co. English make this case guaranteed to wear 10 years. The case has light surface marks from use but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is glass and has a small nibble under the glass between 9 & 10 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark

The dial is signed State with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
