French Cast Brass Mantel Clock

Description

Circa 1880, generous sized French cast brass mantel clock. The clock has a pagoda top surmounted by a cast finial. At the front is a large bevelled edge glass door held in a beaded brass bezel. The face itself has open fretwork, porcelain Roman numerals held in a heraldic shield and two hand cut steel hands. Beneath this is further open fretwork, a stylish plinth and foliate cast ogee feet. At the back is a large circular brass door which opens to show the movement. Stylish, serviced and working.

Size 47cm high x 25cm wide x 21cm deep.
