A wonderful Black Forest carved mantel clock. The clock is surmounted by a handsome pair of deer above a tree trunk centre housing the clock, below which are quail in undergrowth. The quality of the carving is top level and the colour and patina are great too. The clock dial is all original and it has a quality German movement striking on a gong. The whole is in really excellent condition with no repairs and is a stunning example of it''s type. C.1900.
