The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is stamped with the Atlas name and logo, used by Stauffer & Co in the 1920s.
The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London (import mark), 1924. The case is in lovely condition.
The watch glass is in lovely condition.
The white dial, with the red 12, is absolutely charming and in lovely condition. The blued steel hands are a particularly handsome feature and there is also a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A later dark brown leather strap has been fitted.
