Gents 9ct Gold Rotary Maximus Vintage Watch

A gents 9 carat gold Rotary Maximus wrist watch.

The watch has a nice quality Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around one minute or so over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 32mm diameter and the case is 9 carat gold there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1959. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks. The back of the watch has been engraved and reads, 'To Hugh Dent, from the Governors of Plymouth College'. Mr Dent was the school librarian at Plymouth College.

The lens has a couple of small marks but they are not very noticeable.

The dial has a really good vintage look with a mixture of numerals and markers, an inner minute track, cross hair detail and a centre seconds hand with a pointer end. The dial is signed Rotary Maximus, 17 Jewels, Swiss Made. It is in its original finish and there are some marks but nothing too serious. There is some marking to the finish on the hands but you have to look closely to see it.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

A Rotary box is also included.
