Description

An impressive late 19th century Lenzkirch oak cased ting-tang mantel clock. Brass dial with spandrels, silvered chapter ring bearing Roman numerals, subsidiary regulator dial. Eight day ting tang movement. The beautifully case with dome top with leaf carving and carved pilasters to the front and carved fretwork panels to the side and reverse door. Raised on bracket feet.

In excellent condition throughout - case truly excellent and dial blemish free. In full working order.

Lenzkirch clocks were regarded as the Rolls-Royce of the Black Forest Clockmakers...Lenzkirch clocks were of such fine craftsmanship, wonderful ornamentation, and superb "in-house" design and production that they rank at the top of all German-made clock makers.
