English Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

A very good quality English figured mahogany chamfer top Bracket/Table Clock with ebony moulded detail. The Clock case has inset corner panels with brass moulded edges to the front, fish scale sound frets and brass lion carrying handles to the side of the case. The Clock movement is an eight day twin fusee with anchor escapement and is fitted with a pendulum hold fast.

The Clock has a painted eight inch dish dial with the makers name:-

Evill

Bath

The Evill family were a well known family of Clock makers in Bath. This Clock has been made by the the son of William.

The Clock movement has been cleaned and serviced.

Height - 15 ½ inches

Width - 11 ½ inches

Depth - 7 inches
