Early 19th Cent Mahogany 8 Day Longcase Clock

Description

A lovely small mahogany longcase clock by John Lundie of High Street, Aberdeen, Scotland. He worked there from 1809 to 1860.

The case is veneered in very well figured mahogany and it has some very nice carved details.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive painted dial. To the arch is a lovely scene entitled "the Cotton's on Saturday night" To the corners of the dial are depictions of the four seasons.

The movement is in good condition and keeping good time. The case is also in excellent condition.

The maximum dimensions are:

208cm (82") high (excluding finial)

52cm (21.5") wide

24cm (9.5") deep

Free local delivery and set up (75mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost
