The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is signed Vertex Revue.

The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs - it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it would work well as a lady's watch. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1954, together with the maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison and also the Vertex name. The case is in good condition with just minor marking. The case back has a presentation engraving.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition and has feuille shaped hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A later black leather strap has been fitted.
