The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is signed with the Vertex Revue name.

The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the winding crown and 29mm high excluding the lugs; it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist or it could be worn by a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1953 with a maker’s mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in lovely condition for its age with just very light scratches and a couple of pin sized indentations to the back but nothing serious at all.

The lens has minor marking but is very acceptable.
The dial is in its original finish; it has some inconsequential marks but all very respectable for a 1920s piece.
A later brown leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage Vertex presentation box.
