The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
It is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The half hunter case is 10ct gold plated and it was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. There is a ‘ding’ to the back of the watch but other than that the case is in good condition. There are enamelled black Roman numerals to the front.

The winding crown is pushed to release the front cover. The small lens and the larger inner lens are both in good condition.
The white enamel dial has squat black Roman numerals, typical of the 1920s period. The watch has the specially shaped hands which means that the time can be read through the small front lens (if they were conventional hands, it would be difficult to distinguish between the hour and minute hands). Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
