Gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding jewelled movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. As with the majority of Smith movements from this period, it is stamped Made in England.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is in good condition with just general light marking. The shaped lugs are a particularly nice feature of this watch.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish; it has darkened with age but it has fabulous vintage charm with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
