Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff.

It has a brass arched dial with a silvered chapter ring with engraved black Arabic numerals and matted centre. There is a "rise & fall" subsiduary dial to the top and gilt brass spandrels to the corners.

The arched opening door has thick bevelled glass.
The case is constructed of a beautiful honey coloured walnut and has a very rich, age related patina that only time can produce.
It has gilt brass finials to the top and caryatids to the front canted corners. There are gilt brass sound frets to the sides and it sits on splayed bracket feet.
